As part of our service we supply all clients with a method
statement and detailed risk assessment which allows the
customer a detailed insight into the procedures and safety
measures adopted by Blast Care prior to the commencement
of any works.
We also supply a standard safety equipment list to allow the
client an insight into the safety equipment that is being used.
All over our equipment is fully maintained and subjected to
inspection and testing prior to usage.
All our operatives are medically certified, comprehensively
trained and fully experienced in confined space safe working
practices. They all hold safety passports and are qualified first
aiders.

Pre-Planning:
It is our philosophy to ensure that all services are run in
conjunction with both parties. Pre-Planning site meetings are
an essential part of this strategy. This service ensures that both
of our Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to and that a
clear understanding is set out from the start.
Site Preparation:
After a Pre-Planning meeting, a clear understanding of what is
expected by both parties will have been drawn up and carried
out prior to our arrival on-site. All Site Preparation
requirements will need to have been carried out before the
commencement of any works.
Remedial Maintenance:
Blast Care offer a remedial maintenance service, which
enables essential works to be carried out within a confined
space safely. We have a team of highly skilled operatives to
carry out such duties under the strict supervision of your
Engineering/Maintenance Departments.
Risk Assessments:
Before each project is commenced (as covered in the
Pre-Planning meeting), a Risk Assessment along with a Work
Method Statement will have been prepared. Customer
intervention of this document is welcomed at all times.
Incident Response Team:
We have an Incident Response Team available to assist in
resolving emergency situations such as chemical spillages,
immediate remedial maintenance, etc.
Electrical and Mechanical Isolation:
To isolate the power supply to the vessel at the source to
eliminate accidental power-up of associated equipment. To
isolate mechanical/chemical valves and feed pipes by means
of pipe breaking and spays or detachment of air supplies to
actuators and the locking-off of valves, to prevent the ingress of
chemicals.
Factory and Plant Decommissioning
Blast care as a decommission contractor can offer a full range
of services to carry out the complete cleaning and clearance of
redundant industrial sites. Tanks, vessels and pipe work can
all be cleaned to a gas free standard to make them safe for
dismantling and removing. Bund areas, steel work and
cladding can be jet washed to remove contaminants before
demolition is carried out. If when structural work is cleared
there is found to be ground contamination Blast care can
undertake land remediation work, this may entail the removal
and replacement of contaminated soil with clean soil.

Water jetting facilitates the removal of surface coatings and
build-up that would normally have to be removed by chemical
